Develop a partner-led service project with a clear need, scope, permissions and honest outcome measures.

- 40–60 minutes · estimate
- Start with
- A community need to investigate and a potential host or partner.
Learn
Build on what you can show.
Ask the people or organization affected what would actually help. Define one useful output and the limits of the project. A requested item list, a small lesson or a bounded technical deliverable is easier to review than a broad promise to change lives.
Choose a host and confirm roles, permissions, supervision, accessibility and handling requirements before recruiting participants or collecting resources. Identify who would receive money or goods and who would approve spending. A planning record creates no partnership or collection authority.
Separate activities, outputs and outcomes. A planned workshop is an activity; a delivered lesson is an output; an observed change in a learner’s work may be an outcome. State the procedure and limits before interpreting the result.
Worked example and review

The project is a hypothesis. No host, venue, participant, contribution or outcome is confirmed.

Make your working record.
Develop one small service idea with a potential host. Write the need, deliverable, permission questions, resource limits and review criteria before execution.
Work privately in this tab. Download a copy before leaving; refreshing clears unsaved entries. This tool sends no form entries to the District or a third-party AI service. Use service labels and non-sensitive examples where possible.
Keep an editable copy.

Show evidence / Reflect
Review the work, then choose a next step.
- The need has a recorded source or remains a hypothesis.
- The host, scope and permission status are explicit.
- The measurement plan separates proposed targets from observed results.
- A next decision follows from actual evidence or an explicit unrun status.
Reflect: What would the receiving community or host need to confirm before this project is useful?
Record your observation and next action in the reflection fields above. Estimated activity time and examples have not been independently validated with learners.
